Join Our Parish
As far as possible the laity ought to provide helpful collaboration for every apostolic and missionary undertaking sponsored by their local parish. Decree On The Apostolate Of The Laity
(Pope Paul VI, 1965)
A parish is a certain community of Christ’s faithful stably established within a particular Church, whose pastoral care, under the authority of the diocesan Bishop, is entrusted to a parish priest as its proper pastor. (Canon Law 515 §1)
How do I join the parish?
You may establish parish registration by completing the Registration Form (link on this page) and submitting it to the Parish Secretary. Submission may be electronically, mail, Sunday Offertory collection or in person.
Are there boundaries for IHM parish?
The Diocese of Covington has established specific boundaries for our parish. Generally, the boundary in the Northern part of Boone County: to the north, the Ohio River; to the east, a line roughly north to south line extending along Zig Zag Road; to the west the Ohio River; and to the South, Hathaway Road.
Why should I register in the Parish?
By Canon Law, all people who live within the boundaries of the parish are, in fact, members of the parish. Parish registration and involvement brings many benefits. For example, it is a well-documented statistic that families involved in parish life are much less likely to suffer the pain of divorce. Active and registered parishioners enjoy a lower tuition rate than non-parishioners in our school. Registration brings information on the many opportunities for involvement in the vibrant life of the parish.
