Music Ministry

“Praise him with your singing, praise him with the trumpet, praise God with the lute and harp; praise him with the cymbals, praise him with your dancing, praise God till the end of days.” 

This quote is from the song, "Sing of the Lord’s Goodness,"  and sums up Music Ministry very well in a short phrase.  Anyone can sing, some people can play an instrument, but our duty in this ministry is to use our musical talent to stand with the congregation in praise of God.

Music Ministry at IHM covers over 250 regular Sunday liturgies a year as well as weekly school masses, Holy Days, and other special events such as funerals, weddings, First Communion, and Confirmation.   Our ministry involves:  the Adult Choir, the Adult Contemporary Choir, Lifeteen Music Team, the Children’s Choir, YUCKY, and the Cantors all that share in these duties.  The following pages will highlight some of these different groups.
