Parish Religious Education Program (PREP) theme for 2010-2011 is: “BLEST ARE WE” “Faith comes from what is heard and what is heard comes through the word of Christ.” (Romans 10:17) Blessed are those who hear the Word of God and obey it. (Based on Luke 11:28) Blest are we, holy children of light are we! Blest are we, chosen people of God! Blest are we, God has plans for you & me! Blest are we, we are the children of God! Weekly, students and teachers will use their decorated cross and respond with prayers of thanksgiving for God’s many blessings. The challenge this year is to stay faithful and be grateful. Here are some ways we can live our faithfulness and gratefulness; • Make a commitment to grow in Faith: PRAY every day. • Focus on your need to grow in the knowledge of your faith: READ the Bible! Attend Fr. Comer’s “Annual Spiritual Talks” on Wednesdays. • Live what you believe: DO something for someone else. It can be as simple as wiping a child’s tears or listening to a lonely or sick person. • Appreciate daily blessings; CULTIVATE an “attitude of gratitude”. Recognize and give thanks for the many blessings that are folded into your day. • Accept life’s difficulties. SURRENDER yourself to God’s divine plan which in time makes all things well. What are You Grateful For Today?
