I teach 4th Grade Language Arts. I have been teaching for 11 years all at Immaculate Heart of Mary. I started my career teaching 3rd grade. After my first year I began teaching 4th grade and have been ever since. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Northern Kentucky University. I continued my education at Northern and received my Master’s Degree in Elementary Education with an endorsement in teaching Reading and Writing in 2007. I was born and raised in northern Kentucky. I grew up in Independence and went to St. Henry for both elementary and high school. After high school we moved out to Burlington. I then went on to pursue my college career. I am married to Tony Wagner and we have 3 beautiful children: Arlyn (11), Blake (9), and Reece(4). They keep us very busy and bring us so much happiness! We have a lot of fun together! My wanting to be a teacher started back when I was very young. My love for children is one of the main reasons. There is nothing better than teaching a new concept or skill and seeing that “light bulb” come on. I enjoy helping my students become the very best learners that they can be. My goal is to motivate all of my students so that they feel successful and become independent learners.
