Kindergarten AM/PM - Christy Chandler

I teach the morning and afternoon Kindergarten classes at Immaculate Heart of Mary. This is my third year teaching at IHM. I have previously taught first grade for one year at Saint Agnes in Park Hills, KY and three years at Good Shepherd in Frankfort, KY.

I attended the University of Kentucky and have my Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education. I am currently working on attaining my Masters degree. I am certified to teach Orton-Gillingham Multi-Sensory Reading Program.

I grew up in Fort Mitchell, KY and attended Blessed Sacrament Grade School and Notre Dame Academy High School. I have been married to Thomas Chandler for 13 years and we have been active members of IHM parish for 9 years. We have three children, Tyler who is 11 years old and Chloe and Claire who are 9 years old. They all attend IHM as well.

I am truly blessed to be able to teach especially here at IHM. I feel that this is not just a job for me but it is my vocation. It is an honor for me to be able to share my faith with so many and those at such impressionable ages.
