I have been teaching 2nd grade at IHM for 11 years. Previously, I taught 4th grade at Taylor Mill Elementary School here in Northern Kentucky and in Western Kentucky for a total of 27 years.

I graduated form the University of Kentucky and received my Master’s degree from Murray State University.

I grew up in Independence Kentucky and attended St. Cecilia Elementary School. I am married with two children and three grandchildren. I teach because I love children and enjoy helping others.

2B - Susan Panoushek

I am currently teaching second grade in Room 2B, alongside Mrs. Dillon.  I am responsible for the Language Arts portion of our day.  This includes Reading, Spelling, Phonics, and Language.

I grew up in Northern Kentucky and attended Notre Dame High School.  I graduated with a BA degree from the University of Evansville in 1986 and received my Masters degree from Indiana University.  I previously taught in the Indianapolis Public School system for 15 years, where I taught the 1st and 2nd grades. After marrying and having two kids I decided to come back “home.”  I am now in my 8th year of teaching at Immaculate Heart of Mary School.  My two sons previously attended IHM and are now at Covington Catholic High School.

I feel blessed to be teaching here at IHM.   I was drawn to the teaching profession because I enjoy working with children.  It is exciting to introduce students to new worlds of information and to see them learn and grow in academic and social skills.
