3B - Tara Fischer

This is my fourth year teaching 3rd grade at IHM. I have also been employed as a public school teacher, substitute teacher and as a resource aide. I was fortunate to also spend many years as a full-time mom.

I graduated from Indiana State University in Terre Haute, Indiana and received my B. A. Elementary Education in 1995 with a concentration in Special Education. I grew up in a tiny farming community in Indiana. My husband, Brian, and I have been members of IHM since 2001. I have 3 children-Olivia, Adam, and Anna.

My hobbies are singing, attending plays, and reading, reading, reading! I teach because I love kids and the challenge of helping each child to reach his or her full potential. All of the “greats” in other professions began as students with great teachers! I feel so blessed to be part of the IHM community!
