Assistant Principal - Kathleen Sanfilippo

I have been the Assistant Principal since 2004; I previously taught 5th grade from 1994-2004 here at IHM. I have been in education since 1969 (with a few years off for children, relocation, etc.).

I attended Mt. St. Agnes College in Baltimore, MD, now part of Loyola University. I worked on my master’s at the Univ. of Florida, almost completed but ran out of money! Eventually I earned my M. Ed. at Armstrong-Savannah State. Since then I have taken classes at Thomas More, Northern Kentucky, and Xavier. I received my Rank I certification through Xavier in their principal/administration program.

I grew up in Savannah, GA, and am a product of St. Vincent’s Academy, one of the oldest Catholic girls’ school in the United States. My husband and I are very proud of our 2 daughters, their spouses, and five absolutely adorable grandchildren. My passion is education. It is my vocation. I feel that IHM community is family!
