Library - Kelly Green

I am the teacher librarian at Immaculate Heart of Mary School. This is my second year in the position. I grew up in Burlington and attended IHM when the school was located in Hebron. I am a 1991 graduate of IHM. I then went on to graduate from St. Henry. Years passed, and after settling down in Florence with a family of my own, I decided to send my own children to IHM. My daughter, Sylvia, is a sixth grader, and my son, Austin, is a first grader. My dream as a child was to be a librarian. After receiving my Bachelor of Arts at NKU, I was accepted to the University of Kentucky in the Library Science Master’s program. While in the program, I realized I wanted to be a school librarian so I decided to earn my Master’s of Teaching, which I did from NKU. I have a Master’s in Library Science and a Master’s in Teaching Middle School Language Arts. I love being the librarian at IHM. I love helping students become lifelong learners and readers. IHM is a strong learning community that I fully believe in.
