The first sacrament where we are freed from sin, become children of God and members of the Church.

Baptism cleanses us from Original Sin, makes us children of God, followers of Christ and members of his Church. At our Baptism God shares with us his Life and his Love which Mankind was deprived of by Original Sin. We promise in Baptism to reject the devil and to avoid all that is evil, to believe in God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit and to live our lives according to the teachings of Jesus Christ.

Baptism is the first step in your child’s faith development. At IHM will meet one time with a small group of 3-5 family representatives along with our Deacon and a team of leaders from the parish.

This is the initial preparation for receiving this Sacrament so please plan on attending before your baby is born, if at all possible.

Pre baptismal parental program is presented on the second Tuesday of the month at 7:00 pm in the library.

Please make an appointment in advance with the Church Secretary Rose Fahey
at
689-5010 Ext. 224

Baptism is administered every Sunday of the month at 2:00 p.m.

Please call at least two weeks in advance.
