2024 has been designated as a "Year of Prayer" for Catholics worldwide as we prepare to enter into a Jubilee Holy Year in 2025. Click on the link above to go to a new Vatican resource on Prayer.
Thinking about the Catholic Church? We will offer our Catholic Inquiry Sessions beginning in September on Thursday evenings. As Jesus told his disciples: "Come and See." More information at the Catholic Inquiry page on our website.
In 2019, Pope Francis established the Sunday of the Word of God to be celebrated each year on the Third Sunday in Ordinary Time. As the Holy Father stated in his apostolic letter instituting the observance, “Devoting a specific Sunday of the liturgical year to the word of God can enable the Church to experience anew how the risen Lord opens up for us the treasury of his word and enables us to proclaim its unfathomable riches before the world” (Aperuit illus, no. 2). On January 21, 2024, in observance of the Sunday of the Word of God, the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, through a grant from the American Bible Society, will offer a “Sunday Seminar Series” of four videos about Sacred Scripture in the life of the Church. These videos, available in English and Spanish, will feature some of the bishops and biblical scholars and will be accompanied by discussion/reflection questions. The videos will be made available on January 19, 2024 at: https://catholic.bible/sunday-of-the-word-of-god/ Through these videos, we hope to bring people into an encounter with Scripture. May God's people be inspired and challenged to see, understand, and engage with Scripture in a new and prayerful way.
9 Days for Life is a novena for the protection of human life. Each day’s intention is accompanied by a short reflection and suggested actions to help build a culture of life.

The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults is the way people are initiated into the Christian way of life, specifically in the Roman Catholic tradition. It is a journey of discovery, where participants come to know Jesus Christ. It is a process of awakening to what it means to be a Catholic Christian. It is an opportunity to explore the Catholic faith. It is a period of discernment to help each individual freely decide if the Catholic Church can be the place to call home. The RCIA is a focused experience of the ever-deepening journey into the life of faith, which is the task of a lifetime. RCIA is for adults who have never been baptized, those who have been baptized in another Christian denomination, and even those baptized as a Catholic who were unable to continuing learning about the faith. New sessions begin August 31st!

Enjoy this special faith learning resource as a gift from your Parish! "Deacon Greg used FORMED to present the most recent study group session, The Bible and The Virgin Mary. The information was so clear that my typical response to each session was, "aha!", and was so thorough that I came away without questions but instead an affirmation of my faith. FORMED gave me the impression of having a Catholic library right at my fingertips, just type in a topic or scroll through the thumbnails to get more details on anything that is on your mind." --Connie Wolfe, IHM Parishioner
Do you love working with little children? Are you gifted at keeping them entertained while teaching them about our Faith, or at least willing to give it a try? If yes (or even maybe), then this volunteer opportunity is for you! Our Sunday School Program will need a new Coordinator for the 2023/2024 school year. The program takes place during the 9:00am and 10:45am Masses. We need 1 or 2 volunteers to oversee the classes. It is a lot of fun and very rewarding. If you would like to learn more about the Sunday School Program and are interested in possibly running the program, please contact Peggy Wells, at 859-586-5575 , or email at rickpegwells@yahoo.com, or stop in before, during, or after one of our classes to check us out! Please note that you must be Virtus trained for this position. There is plenty of time before the next school year begins to take a class, so don’t let that stop you from volunteering.
